We are Denwave Ltd., a Sofia-based design firm founded by two water and sewerage engineers with full design licences and more than 8 years of experience in water supply and sewerage design.

Who we are

We are Dencho Marchev and Nanko Kazakov, water engineers and co-founders of Denwave. Each of us has more than 8 years of proven design experience and a full design licence from the Bulgarian Chamber of Engineers in Investment Design (KIIP).

We prepare complete designs – building water and drainage installations, automatic fire suppression systems, street water mains and sewers, and related structures. We have also worked on measuring, zoning and reducing losses in operating networks, so we know how a system performs once it is in service.

We know the other side of the process as well – approvals with the authorities and coordination with the client and the contractor. That is why we take a project from concept to commissioning: survey, design, approvals and supervision during construction.

Our mission is to give investors, architects and contractors designs that are technically sound, economical to build and straightforward to approve.

We use modern software and automate routine calculations and drawings, which leaves more time for the engineering decisions and keeps us on schedule.

Dencho Marchev

Co-founder and managing director · MSc Civil Engineering, Water and Sewerage

Civil engineer with more than 8 years of experience designing water infrastructure, networks and structures, with in-depth knowledge of both building installations and linear infrastructure such as street water mains and sewers.

After working at a leading engineering design firm, he co-founded Denwave, where he focuses on modern, efficient design backed by automated workflows and specialised software.

Nanko Kazakov

Co-founder · MSc Water Engineering, UACEG

Water engineer with more than 8 years of experience and a full design licence. He prepares complete water and sewerage and automatic fire suppression designs for residential, office and public buildings, working with building information modelling (BIM).

He has also worked as a project coordinator at a construction and investment company, responsible for agreeing designs with the authorities.

He develops solutions for district monitoring of flow and pressure, non-revenue water reduction and pressure management, and manages projects for water loss reduction, DMA zoning, field studies and measurements, and the optimisation of water supply networks.
