What we offer
We design sewer service connections and inspection chambers – route, longitudinal profile, fall, diameter and the connection to the street sewer – and support the approval with the water utility. See also service connections.
What the design includes
- Site plan from the inspection chamber to the street sewer
- Longitudinal profile with levels and fall
- Inspection chambers – type, depth, cover
- Connection detail to the street sewer
- Bill of quantities
Inspection chambers – when and where
- The first chamber on the property, usually near the street boundary

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an inspection chamber and a service connection?
The chamber gives access for inspection and cleaning. The service connection is the pipe from the first chamber on the property to the street sewer.
Is an inspection chamber needed in the yard?
Yes. The first chamber on the property marks the start of the sewer service connection. Its position is set in the design under the utility's conditions.
